The Homeless

    Thursday night I had the wonderful opportunity to go with a church down into Houston and feed the homeless. They were so grateful for their pizzas, food packs, and hygiene kits.  It was just so inspiring. Their stories, hardships, the way they live...it's very eye opening. I am so glad I went. I know most of us view them as failures or lazy hobos. But after talking to them, I realized they're just like us. They were so lonely and absolutely adored just talking with us about their lives. Their stories were just so inspirational and incredible! Most of them were absolutely hilarious! They had us laughing so hard. We prayed over each one and they were hungry for the Word of God. Incredible night! So thrilled I got to experience it... I thought it was incredible that these people, people who have NOTHING, were still just so happy. It's ridiculous that us, us who have food, water, and a home, are so selfish and ungrateful for what we have. We get upset if we don't get that certain phone we want, or that fancy flat screen tv, or the latest, newest video games. I look around this world today and see it is filled with so much pain, sadness, hate, and ungratefulness. This world is so broken...
